The Now Tour - Part 2...
Well, I was able to attend four of the scheduled summer shows. I was blessed to be able to revisit New York City, some new and old friends and see Maxwell out on Long Island at Jones Beach. Needless to say, this was a very beautiful venue. The night was clear and the moon was glistening off the water. The breeze was cool and misty. Maxwell was superb as usual!! Anyone who visits this and the many other sites dedicated to Maxwell has undoubtedly seen at least one of the shows. Even though I was not up to par, I was able to enjoy the endurance x four!!! NYC, Newark, NJ (x2) and Chicago. (With all the travel, I have the nerve to wonder why I can't shake this illness - ? - OY - !!)
Unfortunately, I have been deeply under the weather and don't have what I need to post all the details at this point. What I would like to do is to call on my Maxwell/Muszewell Family to share their experiences at the shows this summer. And spare us none of the details!!! I will share my New Jersey experience at a later date.
Thanks!!!
Unfortunate, as well, is the fact that I did not get any pictures this time. The venues were extra strict. I guess Maxwell is getting tired of us taking pics after he told us not to!!! (Well, I'm up for my long overdue spanking, how 'bout you!?!)

Story #1 (Sorry - no editing done at this time.) Posted 1-12-03
I started getting ready the Maxwell concert August 6th even tho the concert was August 7th!...lol See, I was hanging out with my sista girl NicNaj in the mall trying to find something sexy to wear for Maxwell. We spent hours at the mall looking for clothes but only NicNaj came out with bags of stuff...lol I already had my outfit for the concert but like clockwork I get really nervous before a Maxwell concert. So, this means I started to have second thoughts about my outfit. I mean, it was very sexy even for my taste. I wore this beautiful black halter top with a long black skirt that matched. I looked great but for some reason I wanted to buy something else. Wait, I know why I wanted to change my outfit, I didn't think it would look good on me(those were my nerves talking to me). So I looked for something at the mall but I guess it wasn't meant for me to wear anything other than the outfit I wore.
We finally left the mall and headed downtown(Chicago), looking for a place that made gift baskets. We never found the place so we headed home after driving around for at least an hour or more. August 6th has ended.
August 7th, concert day!!!!! I woke feeling very nervous but this feeling was nothing new when it came to a Maxwell concert. I had all these thoughts going through my head which made more nervous. So I called my friend Shantae but she wasn't home so I left a message on her voicemail. I basically said that I didn't feel pretty and I just knew hair wouldn't be right for tonight. etc.....
It's time to get ready for the concert!!!! But first I had to go pick up the specially made bouquet of exotic flowers I had made for Maxwell. I figured if I didn't look good to him he'll like the flowers. Now, the reason I was stressing like this is because again I was blessed enough to have pit seats for the concert so that meant I was in the man's face again!..lol I picked up the flowers and loved them! They were so beautiful and different, I knew he'd like them. Now, I'm off to NicNaj's house to get ready for the concert. We're getting ready to I think it was Maxwell's Unplugged cd so you know we were feeling good. I put my outfit on and got thumbs up from NicNaj and she made up my face. She told me to trust her and I did. I'm ready, Nic's ready and so is her daughter. We were to meet Shantae and the venue. We called a cab and it was on. I kept licking my lips because I was so nervous. Nic kept telling me, "stop licking your lips girl!"....lol I couldn't help it. We're at the venue(The Arie Crown Theater), and we see Shantae and take our seats. Vivan Greene is performing and were all feeling her. I was trying to dance without bending Maxwell's flowers...lol I'm still nervous at this time.
Vivan Greene has finished and left the stage so the wait begins. We were able to see Maxwell's feet peeking from under the curtain. I wondered if he could hear us talking because we were at the stage. Shantae, Nic and myself are complimenting each other on how good we look and talking about other stuff when I hear a voice say, "Naggie", Shantae and I looked behind us and who did we see, Suiteladymaxi in the flesh!!!!!! We were so happy to see her! She was happy to see us as well. We ran to her even though we couldn't get across the stairs to see her so we hugged each other across the barcade. We met a few more Maxwell family memebers that night. SLM gave Nic's daughter a little stuffed animal to give to Maxwell for her.
It's showtime finally y'all...lol We're waiting for a beat to come from behind the curtain but nope, Maxwell just walks out singing "This Woman's Work", which freaked everybody out!!!!! He looked so good y'all I wanted to cry but I kept my cool. We made eye contact for split second which was all I needed. I felt good and I looked pretty good too...lol The cutiest thing happen, Nic's daughter kept trying to give Maxwell SLM's gift but he had his eyes closed(during TWW), so he didn't see her. She got upset and said, "he won't open his eyes."...lol But Shantae took her right him while his eyes were open and she gave him the little stuffed animal and he gave her a hug and a kiss. We wiped that kiss right off her cheek....lol
The audience is going wild becuase is Maxwell doin his thing and looking good while hes doin it. When he did foucs on the audience the first words out of his mouth were, " Chicago, you ladies are looking sexy tonight!!" I must say, we were. He was trying to be nasty and tease us by showing us that his zipper was broke(my mind is wondering..lol). Thats all I'm gonna say about that....lol
I had a second to sit down while he was greeting us so I quickly rubbed some of my favorite perfumed oil(my good luck Maxwell oil), across my chest and neck. I still had lipstick on so my make up wasn't bad plus I couldn't try to put it on without him looking at me. Then he was getting ready to do his intro for "Changed". He was at the opposite end of the stage and he said started going into what it's like being in the spotlight. He looked my way actually right at me and said "ahh", cuz he saw the flowers and he started walking towards me. I'm just standing when NicNaj pushed me saying, "go now!" So I'm walking up to him when he looks at me smiles and grunts. I thought my legs would stop moving but I blushed and kept walking toward him. He grabbed me and grunted again as he kissed and hugged me. We're hugging each other and I said, "thank you baby", and he whispers back in that sexy raspy voice, "no, thank you." Then out of nowhere we hear Nic's voice yelling , "wait!"...lol So Maxwell and I embrace each other a little longer!!!! I thank Nic for that. She wanted to give him a basket she had made for him. She gave it to him and got a hug and a kiss and Shantae got a hug and then a huge train of women got in line and showered Maxwell with flowers and gifts. It was a beautiful moment for Maxwell.
The show was incredible and it was well worth us camping out for the tickets. It was great seeing SLM again and actually meeting other Maxwell family members. We had such a good time that night, Nic and I decided to take a road trip to Detroit the next day for the concert in Cheyenne Park. That's my next story which was a blast!!!!!!
I hope my story wasn't too long but you know how long winded I could be....lol I will write about my Detroit experience soon.
Thank you for reading my about experience.
God bless!
Naggie!

Hello Family!!
It's late on a Saturday night... and since I worked some OT early today and attended Friday Night Fights at a local venue last evening, I slept most of the day and can't find sleep at this time. So, I decided to share my summer Maxwell experience with you. Please, read on.
Story #2
My Maxwell Family had decided to have another get-together this past summer. We had decided on visiting Chicago since a number of our Sisters hail from the Windy City. Then, our Man Maxwell decided he was going to do his thing in NYC and New Jersey as well as other sites along the East Coast, so our plans changed. No longer was the Windy City our destination. It was decided that wherever Maxwell would be, so would we!!
My time off work was all ready set and I had not yet made travel arrangements. But I knew where I was going... I just didn't know how I would get there. I shared with you all about my somewhat overzealous Maxwell sister here in Columbus, Ohio who, bless her little warped heart, traveled by Greyhound to get front row seats in New Jersey for the two scheduled shows at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center, right? Well, since she and I had decided to travel together, our last-minute plans were to 'Go Greyhound.' (Needless to say, by all the power vested in me, I will never 'Go Greyhound' again!!) You see, I had all ready been ill prior to all this. But once my plans were made, I was determined to go through with it, come Hell or high water. And Greyhound was not exactly the best choice for me.
However, I did make it to NYC on Thursday and was ready for the show at Jones Beach that evening. I will not mention that my traveling partner had stood me up at the bus terminal and I traveled alone from Columbus, Ohio to Newark, New Jersey, not having a clue what I would do once I got there after 13 hours. You see, Miss Baby is from NYC and knows her way around. Fortunately, once I reached Newark, there she was at Penn Station waiting for me with her son (who I believe has more sense than his mother!) I was glad to see her though I wanted to slap her smiling face for not sharing her plans with me after we had decided to travel together.
But all was well as we made our way to my hotel for the night. That is one area I have been fortunate in when visiting NYC; I have always been able to find a nice, reasonably priced hotel room without a problem. Now that I like about NYC!! I was able to settle in, get something to eat and take a nap before meeting up with my sisters at MSG to make our way out to Long Island. I met up with Blushe and her roomy, and several others that I was meeting for the first time. We were from all over and as far away as ATL, GA. It was a happy gathering and off to Long Island we went. It was a nice little ride on the train and then the bus out to Jones Beach.
Jones Beach was beautiful!!! The Tommy Hilfiger amphitheater was a wonderful setting and backdrop for the stage setup for the show. The stars and moon glistened off the water and you could feel the sway of the waters ever-so-slightly underneath. Some of us had to wait in the parking lot for our tickets to arrive via MaxLuv, but we didn't mind. There was a lot of people-watching to be done and we didn't mind doing it. Especially when it came to checkin' out the fellas!! I think we saw at least 3 Maxwell wannabes. Only one came close; the one with the white gauze guru-style, open-neck shirt, jeans and sandals. His hair was out in the classic, wild fro. His skin was bronze and clear. And his woman looked just as good as he did!!
Once inside, we were seated about halfway back on the main floor. It was a decent view. Out first was Vivian Green, a newcomer on the scene that Maxwell handpicked to open for him. We had heard her from the outer area of the venue, just inside the gates. This sister has a voice that won't quit! Loud and clear, you could hear the cries of her Love Story. (When I caught her lyrics for real at NJPAC, sister had me cryin' in recognition of her pain in love - but that's a whole 'nother story!)
When Maxwell was introduced, of course the crowd went crazy; fellas' as well as the ladies!! He opened with This Woman's Work and it was on from there! He added a song to the show that he had not done during the previous fall tour. You know the one, where there were so many cancellations that our Suite Maxwell pissed off a lot of his adoring fans!?! Yeah, that one! Anyway... He added No One. He and LaTina got their spoon on while they rocked with the lyrics. (I wonder if Maxwell has perused my LaTina application yet!!!)
Well like all Maxwell shows, you never want them to end. He encored with Ascension and a couple others from the Now album. It was not that hard to leave the show that night since we knew there was more to come!!
Our Suite sister, GSB, had planned a dinner get-together for us all to meet up and chill together on a night when there was no show.. Unfortunately, I was unable to make it due to the illness that should have stopped my hard head from being in NYC in the first place. But I was able to get up the strength to make it to the show at NJPAC the next evening. I was feeling a little shaky since I was now at a girlfriend's house in Forest Hills Queens and had to travel to MSG to meet MaxLuv; who by the way never showed up!! I got to the train station all in good time and I waited as long as I could for MaxLuv to arrive, but by 7:30pm, I was outta there!! I could miss Vivian Green, but I could not stand to miss a moment of Maxwell even though I had seen the show going on 5 times at this point in the game. (From the fall tour 'til now, that is.) So, after buying a more comfortable pair of shoes, I hiked a couple blocks to the subway and was planning to use it to get to Newark. All was cool until I realized that I did not know in which direction I was supposed to be going and if I was even in the right station!! Lo and behold, my twisted little sister from Columbus, Ohio was there heading for the show as well. She does have a knack of popping up at the most opportune moments. (And I will get to why I am using such terms of endearment in a minute.)
So she and I arrived at Penn Station in Newark and made our way over to NJPAC just in time to catch Maxwell coming to the stage. I was feeling so bad at this point that I did not even recognize my sisters all around me!! I was not in the front for that show, thank God!! I must have looked a site, pale and sweaty as I was. Even though I was looking that way, I was impressed with a dred-locked gentleman working the door at the venue when he lend over to straighten my shoe so I could get my foot into it. I probably looked as if I was about to keel over and he didn't want to have to help me off the floor, much less call an ambulance!! Nonetheless, I appreciated the gesture and BrotherMan was looking none too shabby, either!!! Oh, Sister was sick but her eyesight had not failed at all!!
Once inside the theater, I am glad it was dark, Maxwell began again with This Woman's Work. Each night thus far have really been a true pleasure. The man knows he can sing!!! And he knows we love to look at him!!! I just wish he knew how much we really love him. Sometimes his uncertainty is apparent in some of the things he says on stage. But the show was good and I am most glad that I did not miss one of my sisters bum rush the stage and get to sit between Maxwell's legs as he sang (I believe) WWW to her for a time. It was so thrilling for her, I know we all could feel it. Each time someone gave Maxwell a gift, he gave up a most gracious hug. To everyone except Miss Baby. She was in the front row and I guess she felt ignored by Maxwell. Well... All I know is that I saw her hand go up and Maxwell give a, shall we say 'concerned', look in her direction. Now, Lord knows I can't read lips but it looked to me as if he was asking her is she okay? But I found out later that is not what he said. After the melee was over, I heard women seated behind Miss Baby shouting, "You're foul!!!" I didn't realize that Miss Baby had actually hit or appeared to hit Maxwell in the mouth. Once the show was over and everyone was gathered at the foot of the stage I found out what really happened.
I asked Ol' Girl what Maxwell said to her and she said she didn't know. All the while these other ladies were saying how she 'hit' Maxwell and they had threatened to tell security and have her put out of the show. Now, I always give a person the benefit of the doubt. My presumption was that when I saw her hand go up from a distance; I thought she was just trying to touch Maxwell's face. And that he was asking her if she was all right because her finger had caught his tooth as he was smiling and talking to the other ladies he was hugging. So I asked her if she had hit him by mistake. That little hussy had the nerve to say 'no.' She had intentionally hit him. Then, I was truly shocked because I can not imagine that someone would do that. Like I said from a distance, it looked as if some inadvertent thing had happened. And, I was a little pissed at her - okay more than a little pissed - because she admitted it so freely. It just goes to show that you never know what is on a persons mind, if they have a mind at all!!
The next night arrived and I was feeling much better. I had decided to get a hotel in Newark so that I would not have to travel such a distance to the theater. My hotel luck continued when I found a lovely single room at a hotel right across the street from NJPAC!! And it was fairly reasonable as well. I arrived there early in the day. Mind you my appetite was shot, I could only drink fluids and by this time even that was coming back up. Believe me when I tell you, I was much sicker than I thought. But I managed to rest up enough before the show to put on a good face and look presentable for my seat in the front row at NJPAC for the Sunday night show. It would be my last before returning home. Even my sisters commented on how much better I looked than the previous night - and they saw me in the dark!!! But in the light of the evening and with a smile on my face, I strolled casually into the theater early to make sure I caught the whole show this time. Vivian Green's voice and the lyrics I had caught while in Long Island had intrigued me so that I did not want to miss her this time.
As I sat in my seat, changing my shoes to show off my pretty toes, I heard someone behind me talking about my traveling companion and then mentioned my name. I turned around and said that I am here and they greeted me saying that they knew all about me through Miss Baby. Obviously my reputation as a Maxwell fan had proceeded me. And I had told Miss baby as well as her acquaintances (she had met them in line buying tickets) that she had better not try any of her shenanigans while I was getting my hug on with Maxwell!!! And I meant that shit, too!!
The show started and Ms. Green won me over completely from beginning to end. At one point I thought I saw Maxwell just offstage checking out her show. But I couldn't be sure. Then, the moment I had been waiting for and had experienced a bit of during the fall leg of the Now Tour. Me, front row center at a Maxwell concert. I was on the edge of my sit as were those seated around me. By that time, Miss Baby had shown up and I warned her not to try anything while I was hugging Maxwell. I felt certain I would be getting a hug mostly because of his response to the crowd on the nights preceding. She promised to be on her best behavior. So the show went on and no one had yet offered Maxwell a gift or even stood up to try to touch him like the night before. Of course, security had said that they were going to handle the crowd differently due to the confusion of the night before. And my friend, Miss Baby was part of the reason. Security had said they were keeping an eye out for her that night. I was glad, too. Most people in the front section knew by now who she was and that it was me that she was traveling with. I did not need the embarrassment!!
My real sisters had entrusted me to give Maxwell a booklet that was put together in his honor and all about our love for him. GSB had done a fine job with the representation in the booklet and we all wanted to make sure that Maxwell got a copy. So I finally made a move toward the foot of the stage, standing to greet him. I held the booklet up along with a black teddy bear holding a glass rose, matching my outfit, of course. I said, 'Can I give this to you?' He looked down at me with a soft smile, took the items from my hands and knelt to hug me. OH....MY....GOD!!!! As I was drawn closer in his embrace, I said softly in his ear, 'I love you , SuiteHeart!!' At that point he kissed me on the cheek. His touch was so gentle but firm and he was so warm!!! I was basking in his aura with my eyes closed when I heard him say, 'Don't hit me!' Miss Baby had snuck up behind me. I glanced back at her and gave her such a look... I heard her say, 'I would never hurt you.' Then as I went back to enjoying my hug, I heard Maxwell say, 'Why she wanna hit me?' I told him it was because she wanted to be where I was - in his arms. I continued gettin' my hug on for a few seconds longer. I wanted so much to touch his hair but it was neatly tucked in a stocking cap covered by the cap on his head. So I just rubbed him up and down his back, forced myself out of his embrace and grinned like a sissy in Boystown back to my seat!!! And then the melee was on again!!! I had gotten the first hug of the evening though!!! As I watched, others enjoyed themselves getting some of Maxwell's love, and before he was finished, he motioned for Miss Baby to come to him. See, he had not hugged her as he had done me and the others. I am sure it is because he didn't feel threatened by us. But in a gesture of pure hearted kindness, he held Miss Baby by her face and kissed her on the forehead. And would you believe that hussy was still not satisfied?! After the show she had the nerve to say that he didn't hug her like he had hugged me. I mentioned to her that I had not popped him in the mouth either!!! But I told her that she should be grateful that he had made a special effort to show her some love. There's just no pleasing some people. But I was truly pleased!! Enough for the both of us!!
At the end of the show, I was able to give Maxwell a small token like I have done at shows from Atlanta to Texas, to Ohio and now in New Jersey. When I placed it in his hand he kissed the back of my hand. Did I say that I love that man!!!? He is so Suite!!! I could just eat him up!!! And you can take that for whatever you want because I am sure it applies!!!
Outside the venue when it was all over, I was able to say goodbye to my sisterfriends and to MaxLuv as well. It was kind of hard saying goodbye but all of us had to return to our respective destinations and resume our lives back in the real world. I wished them all well as they did me and headed back to my hotel room across the street wishing that Maxwell would come with me!!!
Later I'll tell you about my Chi-Town trip!!
Peace and Love - Monica

Story #3
Now for my trip to Chicago... And thanks to Miss Baby again... It was a Trip!!!
After arriving home from NYC/NJ, I had some time to attend to my health. After my doctor pulled me from the jaws of death, (I really should have been hospitalized and/or dead with a blood sugar of over 600 and so dehydrated that I had lost about 15lbs) I started to feel better. I could not go back to work under doctor's orders, and I quickly became bored. Still being in touch with Miss Baby, she came up with the idea of going to Chicago and seeing the show on August 8th. Hell, I wasn't too sick to drive so I was game!! Maxwell, Chicago... who wouldn't be!!??!!
Again, Miss Baby and I made plans to travel together to Chicago and since I was still under a doctors care, I felt it surely wouldn't hurt having a traveling companion. So, we each purchased our tickets and the plan was on. Mind you, this was the day before the show... We planned to hook up the next morning about 11am to take a leisurely summer drive up Chicago-way. I waited for Miss Baby to call me and let me know where to pick her up. And I waited and I waited... Of course, this is Miss Baby we're talking about. The one that stood me up at the Greyhound station and forced me to take a 13 hour ride alone to a place that I had really no clue of how to get around in - economically anyway!!! Needless to say, this chile never did call. Can you believe it? Why yes you can believe it. I'm the only dingdang fool that would even put up with a person like Miss Baby!! So here I go again on another roadtrip - alone!! At least this time it is in the comfort of my own car and the solace of solitude. And the trip was much shorter - only a 6 hour drive this time. No... I had never been to Chicago before and didn't know where the hell I was going. But I strapped myself into that 93 T-Bird with the I LV MXWL plates and hit the road with my Yahoo map!!!
The trip was cool. I got there with time to spare. And I needed it because I got lost on Lakeshore Drive. It wasn't too bad though. I ended up at the Shedd Aquarium on Lake Huron and thought I was looking at some ocean, it was so beautiful!!! The water was as blue and as clear as the ocean waters of the Caribbean!!! I took a few pictures and asked a cop to lead me to Ariel Crown (I think that's right) where I could see Maxwell. I headed away with the directions of the officer and noticed how remarkably clean the streets of Chicago are. Nothing like New York/Manhattan.
Anyway... I found my way to the theater; paid the $9 to park in the underground garage of the venue; and went inside to find a restroom where I could freshen up and change clothes. I hadn't planned to stay that long, perhaps 'til morning. So I didn't bring much more than my binoculars and camera, a change of clothes and a small cooler of juice, water and lunchmeat to munch on the way. I got dressed and went back to my car for a moment, got restless and decided to go back towards the venue as I saw a few others start to arrive.
Once inside, I went to the box office to retrieve my ticket. I just milled around until I saw none other than Miss Baby. She came up to me with some cock and bull story about having tried to call me and how she had gotten us both a ride so I wouldn't have to drive and all this. I just looked at her and told her to get out of my face and not to worry about calling me anymore once we were back in Ohio. She just looked at me with this dumb expression and said, "You don't mean that." I wanted to beat her down!!! But, I maintained my cool and just walked away from her. I was so glad that we were not going to be seated next to each other once inside. I mostly just tried to ignore her and look around for some familiar faces of my other real sisters I had met the summer before in NYC.
The show did not start on time this time. For some reason our entry into the theater was held up. But it was cool because some sisters from Columbia Records arrived and started taking pictures of the crowd (with permission) and handing out Maxwell posters and Vivian Green cd samplers. So I was fortunate to be on the receiving end of that before the show started. I didn't see my real sisters until the intermission between shows when the house lights were on and everyone was waiting on Maxwell. They were seated in the pit in the front row. I made my way down front to greet them. It was a cheerful greeting!!! I got to meet NicNaj for the first time. She's the editor in chief of the Maxwell Chronicles at MSN Net Friends. But then we all quickly went back to our seats when the house lights went out again.
Out comes Maxwell in all his glory. I had been reluctant to name all the songs in the order in which he sang them because I didn't want to give anything away in case there was a tour early this year. And now I have forgotten. (Sorry) But you know whatever Maxwell sings is always utterly delicious ear candy!!! One piece of the show I do remember and have been reluctant to tell was the interesting pant-ripping that was going on. Maxwell would do a move where he jumped up and kicked his leg to the front and his pants would split in the crouch. I believe it started in the first show in Philly and then it became part of the show. I could swear that I noticed his pants being poorly tacked together through my binoculars. And when I was in the front row in Jersey and it happened, I couldn't help but wonder what that part of his thigh must taste like..................
After the show, the lot of us Maxwell sisters - minus Miss Baby - talked, laughed and took pictures in the lobby. We must have been the last ones to leave. I ignored Miss Baby and don't think she saw us as we laughed in the lobby deciding to go and get something to eat. I wasn't able to give Maxwell anything at this show. At least not personally. I brought along a stuffed little Puffkin elephant that I gave to Nic's little girl to give to Maxwell. She wanted to be able to give him something since her mom had this large basket of items from the Chronicles to give to him. Of course, Maxwell gave her a big hug when she handed him the elephant, as he gave to all the ladies that gave him gifts. When I saw Nic's little girl in the lobby after the show, I just had to hug her so that I could at least get some of the essence of a Maxwell hug that night. But then again, I hugged all my Maxwell sisters, so that was equivalent to a full-blown hug from the Man himself, don't ya' think!!!
The night came to an end at the restaurant of the venue that I found also encompassed a hotel. We all ate, laughed and reminisced about the show we all had just endured. Another of our blue-eyed soul sisters, Star10, was there as well and somehow she had gotten the cell number of Wah Wah Watson who played guitar during the Now tour. She called him and we all got a chance to say hello. She even called one of our sisters in Florida and we all gave a holla. While we were talking about how much fun we all had seeing Maxwell and meeting each other, Nic, Naggie and SoftlySuite were discussing the possibility of traveling to Detroit for the next days Maxwell show. Ms. Star said she was going to. I am not sure if Star made it but I know that Nic and Naggie definitely did and SoftlySuite had to work the next day. My money was gone so I knew I wasn't going. Plus I was still under a doctors care and really wasn't supposed to be in Chicago. You know a hard head makes a soft behind as my grandma used to say!
After we all decided what the next days activities would be for each of us, we all headed to our cars to carry out our plans. Me, not being able to stay with any of my Chicago sisters for various reasons, went back to my car to ponder whether or not I was too tired to make the trip back home right then or sleep in my car until the morning. I decided on going home then. Needless to say, by the time the sun was coming over the horizon, I was probably about 100 miles or so from home. And talk about goofy... You would have thought I had several drinks before hitting the road and I don't even drink... anymore! But all was well, and I made it home safe and sound and even contemplating attending the last show in Richmond, VA. But I decided against that one since I didn't have much luck driving all the way and trying to see Maxwell during the Fall part of the tour. But several of my Maxwell Family did make it to that show and I am told it was a blast. The last show always is...

Story #4
Hi my name is Princess, aka Mary Bennett Last year when Maxwell had a surprise concert there at NJPAC I got tickets to both shows. This will be short because I believe That I will get to meet greet and speak with him in length one day. But back to the concert It was like all the concert of his that I have gone to. The lighting was perfect the band was perfect and you can not beat a Maxwell Crowd because we are perfect. There was on lady who had had a encounter with Maxwell at the Roseland Concert. Well before the show started we were all talking and I could not believe that there was anyone out there who loves The Man more than me, Well some times you gota share and with people like her I don't mind. This lady could not contain herself any more, during one of Maxwell's slow songs you know how we all get, she leaped over the security and onto the stage. Maxwell didn't even know she was there until she put her arms around him. The security wanted to get her off the stage but Maxwell wave them back. Now and forever I will always love this man. And as always the rest the show was the bomb because we got an added attraction Maxwell split his pants, the man was wearing white cotton fitting boxers. My unconscious thoughts always goes back to that place when ever I zone out, zone in or just day dreaming. Well a safety pin couldn't keep them from opening up, couldn't get an extra pair of pants out fast enough so I threw my shawl up to him. He didn't wrap it around him as I thought he would but he caressed it smelled it rubbed it all over him and then tossed it back, to the wrong girl, I had to give her a mean look just to get it back.
